Business example
A distributor wants sales staff to see available stock before confirming an order, and accounts staff to track the related invoice.
The sales order shows available quantity on every line and warns when stock is short. Once confirmed, the delivery and invoice are linked to the same order, so accounts can see what has been billed, paid, and is still due.

Manual payments wait for staff to check the transaction. Gateway payments are marked paid when the gateway confirms them.
Business example
A shop owner wants customers to browse products on a phone and wants every order to appear in one admin panel.
Customers order from a mobile storefront; each order lands in the admin panel with its payment status. With manual confirmation, the customer pays by cash on delivery or mobile banking and staff verify the payment before confirming. With an integrated payment gateway, the customer pays online at checkout and the order is marked paid automatically once the gateway confirms it.
